Job Description

Job Qualifications:

2+ years of editing experience within the film and television industry.
• Proficiency in Premiere and Shotgun.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, Avid, RV, After Effects and/or Photoshop is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of video codecs, file formats, frame rates, compression and resolutions.
• An eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
• Strong understanding of VFX Editorial techniques, file formats, color-space, workflows, software and technology relating to VFX.
• Excellent attention to detail and meticulous organization.
• Solid understanding of a VFX Pipeline.
• Ability to work in a strong team environment.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with fluid requirements and deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintaining sequence edits with the latest VFX shots.
• Incorporating & checking all internal versions of VFX shots into the current cuts.
• Managing and documenting the turnover of shots from Client Editorial including ingesting new media.
• Maintaining Shotgun with current shot counts, frame ranges, and any retime or repo instructions.
• Ensuring that published shots conform to the current edit including color, resolution and timing.
• Preparing & exporting sequence edits for internal and client approvals.
• Maintaining organized IO data transfers adhering to security protocols.
• Editing reels for marketing.
• Documentation of relevant tools and processes
