HR Assistant

Job Description

PIXOMONDO is an international visual effects company with a global network of facilities in the US, Germany, and Canada. We are recruiting for various positions in our Los Angeles office, where we would like to welcome anyone with the right experience to work in a fresh and challenging environment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist HR with the preparation, writing and distributing of contracts and letters, as well as other HR related documents
• Input data into appropriate databases as required
• Process payroll using ADP and ADP Celergo
• Track artists' hours on projects and create report for Finance Department
• Assist with the onboarding process of new employees as well as the offboarding process
• Answer employees' inquiries about benefits, vacations, sick time and other HR related issues
• Attend and represent the company at job fairs, school events and VFX events when required
• Report vacation and overtime hours to accounting and manage employee vacation calendar
• Other administrative tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:
• Team player but able to self-motivate and work independently on own initiative
• Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to react calmly in a high pressure situation
• Discreet, approachable, level-headed and reliable
• Ability to see the bigger picture and operate accordingly
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Excellent general IT skills including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with File Maker, Shotgrid and SAP is a big plus
• Good organization and communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a strong team environment
• Knowledge of US and Canadian (British Columbia) labour laws
• Prior experience is a plus, as well as a some education in HR
