Job Description
At Pixar Animation Studios, we believe we cannot promote an inclusive culture within our studio, without being an inclusive participant in our local community. The role will sit under the Inclusion and Outreach team and assist in driving philanthropic opportunities for our employees that support Pixar's strategic charitable areas. Serving nonprofits throughout the region and engaging employee volunteers, the coordinator should be adept in developing partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, successfully build impactful volunteer opportunities, coordinate operations, and analyze the impact of all programs. The Coordinator will administer the community outreach program within established guidelines and under the direction of the Manager, Inclusion and Community Outreach.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate interest and curiosity related to Community Outreach and be able to look at strategy with a DEI lens. Additionally, the candidate should also be encouraged to use creative messaging to provide storytelling around our community engagement efforts, both internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

50% Operations:
• Leads all aspects of charitable donations (both in-kind and monetary) and maintains records of receipt through third party platform CyberGrants
• Reviews & responds to both internal and external unsolicited email and mail requests for studio support of community and philanthropic events
• Financial management including invoicing, vendor setups and grant reporting
• Responsible for internal communications including volunteer recruitment, giving opportunities newsletters, Slack Channel, impact reports throughout the year as well as updating internal department intranet pages
• Oversees and organizes team's in-kind storage area, which includes ordering, replenishment and shipping operations on a case by case basis
• Partners closely with The Walt Disney Company through various joint initiatives and programs such as matching gifts and volunteer grants



30% Community Engagement:
• Leads various studio events each year such as collection drives, wish visits, benefit screenings and various other philanthropic events when need be
• Works closely with employee resource groups (ERGs) in carrying out various initiatives
• Acts as project manager for various volunteer events including artist hospital visits, wish camp visits and annual day of service
• Strategically and confidently presents data to Pixar leadership team and thrives in doing so
• Coordinate donation pickups with external nonprofit partners



20% Relationship Building:
• Manage and maintain existing non-profit partnerships; including attendance at various business meetings and community events
• Identify, establish, and vet new partnerships with organizations and schools in Oakland, Emeryville, and throughout the Bay Area
• Conveys a positive, enthusiastic and professional image of Pixar's community programs internally and externally

QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.A. degree in Communication or B.S in Nonprofit Management preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of nonprofit or corporate social responsibility experience is preferred
• Experience using CyberGrants and/or similar platform such as Benevity is a plus
• A background in communication and marketing that has highly effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
• Familiar with event planning and handling many logistics at once
• Demonstrates organization and time management; ability to successfully multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
• Success in working in a team environment, ability to complete given tasks as well as work independently with minimal direction
• Expresses warmth and emotional intelligence, but can be assertive when implementing studio policy and guidelines
• ​Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly
