Job Summary

The Pittsburgh Pirates People & Culture team is looking for an Assistant, Human Resources to help develop and reinforce the culture in our organization. In this role, you will be a professional reinforcing our values that are essential elements of our business. The Assistant, Human Resources will provide administrative support to the People & Culture department. The Human Resources Assistant coordinates, manages, and actively participates in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities
• Maintain HRIS database for all current and former employees ensuring that information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure proper completion of new hire and rehire paperwork including all government, MLB and company required documents.
• Generate reports pertaining to headcount, new hires, terminations, vacation, parking, work location, hours/earnings, etc. from various business systems. Use reporting to audit system data.
• Review and respond to basic employment related questions and correspondence including phone calls, mail, e-mail requests made to various departmental mailboxes.
• Maintain all personnel files in both paper and electronic formats. Scan and upload employee file documents on a weekly basis.
• Assist staff with employee self-service questions and support issues.
• Assist with benefits related mailings, audits & special projects.
• Assist with recruitment needs, including but not limited to posting positions, assisting with interview coordination, and scheduling and conducting phone screen.
• Support all administrative functions (i.e. ordering, filing, scheduling, scanning, copying, etc.).
• All other duties as assigned.
