Overview

Pineapple Street Studios is seeking a producer to work closely with the executive producer of branded podcasts on producing and developing shows for our brand partners. We pride ourselves in helping world class brands (TED, Nike, Coach, Mailchimp, and more) take their first step in audio. We take a flexible approach to partnerships and we strive to make shows that represent a diversity of ideas, communities and interests.

The producer will work on shows across a variety of formats and brand partnerships, and will manage all aspects of production and distribution.

This position can be located in Brooklyn, NY, Atlanta, GA or Los Angeles, CA once we are back in our offices.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Produce and edit chat, documentary and mixed-format segments
• Conduct pre-interviews and interviews
• Direct recording sessions
• Write episode scripts
• Manage clip and music licensing
• Work collaboratively with hosts, associate producers, engineers, talent and brands
• Create and manage production calendars
• Assist with budget management
• Think creatively about conveying a brand's values and priorities
• Develop compelling concepts that speak to a brand's audience
• Prototype and refine show concepts
• Lead research process for stories, subjects and archival material
• Develop host, guest, segment and story ideas

Qualifications

More About You:

Required and Preferred:

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• At least three years working in audio production
• Experience working on a show with a fast rotation and frequent output
• Creative thinker interested in helping brands develop their podcast strategy
• Track record crafting podcast concepts and designing innovative, immersive sound
• Experience training hosts and coaching them through script reads
• High level of skill in writing for audio
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially working with strong-willed creative talent and partners
• Willing problem solver adept at developing, communicating and implementing solutions
• Experience navigating producer-client relationships
• Experience creating and maintaining production calendars
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and work across geographically-dispersed teams
• Able to travel occasionally when necessary, and safe to do so, for reporting trips and recordings
