POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating, curating and sharing unique and compelling content across Philadelphia 76ers and team-related digital platforms, as well as promoting year-round engagement across the organization's digital audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Cover and provide real-time social media updates from games, practices, and events
• Ideate behind-the-scenes/off-the-court team/player features, community features and fan profiles
• Exhibit compelling storytelling through all content and use of digital and social media platforms
• Coordinate publishing/distribution of content across all Sixers digital channels, including: Sixers.com, @sixers, and more
• Ensure all content is on brand, consistent in style, quality and voice
• Assist in the development/maintenance of content strategy through @sixers that supports and extends initiatives across the organization, while using analytics to optimize content type and publish schedule
• Leverage trending topics/current events to develop content themes and spontaneous activations
• Assist in tracking metrics for all content initiatives and building reports for Sixers management
• Contribute ideas for long and short form digital features to digital video production staff
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields
• 1 – 3 years of experience in social media marketing or journalism field
• Excellent written and communication skills with superior attention to detail and proof-reading experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to take constructive criticism
• Must be able to excel under pressure
• Must be available to work all games/events, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of social networking platforms and emerging web technology as it pertains to position
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Design software
• Knowledge of the City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia 76ers
