Sales Coordinator

Job Description

The Sales Coordinator will provide sales and general administrative support to an Associate Director and Account Manager. This person will also provide some general administrative support to the VP, National Accounts. Additionally, the Sales Coordinator will help coordinate sales for select categories to B&N.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparing Edelweiss collections, sales kits, and selling materials.

2. Responding to in-house and account inquiries.

3. Maintaining, tracking and analyzing sales data and running daily sales reports.

4. Creating seasonal PowerPoint presentations.

5. Communicating with various internal departments to obtain sales materials.

6. Coordinating the placing, fulfilling, and tracking of orders.

7. Performing some general administrative duties for the department and department head, including answering phones, mailing review copies, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, etc.

8. Serves as primary sales contact for select children's book categories and assists team with other categories.

Requirements:
• Minimum of one year of sales experience; prior experience directly interacting with accounts is a plus
• Strong interest in sales and publishing; an interest in and/or experience with children's books or products is a plus
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects for multiple managers
• Superb analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Must be comfortable working with numbers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications, if any:
• Prior bookselling/publishing experience
