Job Description
The Paid Social Media Manager will work on the Random House Children's Books Digital Marketing team, to oversee all paid social campaigns and partnerships including Advertising and Influencer Marketing. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Social Media Strategy, this role will collaborate closely with both the RHCB title Marketing & Publicity teams to create innovative and strategic social campaigns across paid social and influencer marketing.

This role will work across two distinct channels- @randomhousekids which targets parents and showcases picture book and middle grade books, and @getunderlined which targets our teen and crossover adult readers and showcases our young adult books. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in executing paid social and influencer campaigns for books by bestselling authors such as: Nic Stone, Jennifer Niven, Nicola Yoon, Karen McManus, Philip Pullman and classic children's brands like Magic Tree House, Dr. Seuss, Little Golden Books, and Sesame Street.

The Role
• Inform strategy, and provide recommendations for paid social advertising across Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok in partnership with the corporate ad team
• Build and share social ad campaign performance recaps, complete with learnings and recommendations for optimization
• Manage the Digital department's paid social advertising budget in partnership with the corporate ad team and digital title marketers
• Manage the strategy and execution of all paid influencer campaigns across our teen and parent influencers with a focus on Instagram and TikTok
• Manage RHCB's organic influencer programs across our teen and parent influencers with the goal of growing our program members, building brand loyalty, and creating engaging content with our influencer partners
• Partner with Digital Title Marketers to share learnings, define division priorities, and provide recommendations based on past campaigns
• Collaborate with the Manager, Organic Social to share knowledge and ensure all social media campaigns work together cohesively
• Collaborate with the larger marketing and publicity team on multi-channel integrated campaigns, providing social media insights and recommendations as needed
• Work closely with our internal corporate advertising team to share campaign briefs, optimize campaigns, and develop best practices

The Requirements
• 4+ years working in paid social media, influencer marketing or a related field
• Proven understanding of the social landscape, platform best practices, and a clear grasp of consumers' social media habits
• Ability to strategize and drive results through paid social advertising across Facebook, Instagram TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest
• A clear understanding of paid social and influencer partnership analytics, including metrics of success and KPIs
• Experience working with influencers on organic partnerships with a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and build influencer programs
• Ability to pivot between targeting two distinct audiences - parents and teens and crossover reader
• A goal-oriented team player who can cultivate productive working relationships
• Proficiency in creative problem-solving, decision making, and time management
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Outstanding project management skills
• Experience working with influencer agencies and strong influencer relationships
• Expertise in social advertising platforms such as Facebook Ad Manager and Google Analytics
