Junior Designer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Junior Designer to join the Marketing Art Department in the Penguin Random House Audio Division. The Junior Designer will work closely with the art, marketing, and publicity teams in creating advertising and social media campaigns.

Responsibilities include:
• Layout of website blog, email marketing, and social media assets (static and animated)
• Design of digital advertising (static and animated banners ads)
• Layout of print ads and working with senior designers on trade show materials and other marketing collateral
• Working with senior designers on digital campaigns using motion graphics and static layouts

Please apply if you meet the following requirements:
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience
• Knowledge of graphic design principles and motion graphics
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Knowledge of and experience using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

Helpful additional skills:
• Knowledge of agile development process
• Interest in user experience design and user interface design, including mobile device standards and responsive design
