Jr Sales Analyst, International Sales

Reporting to the VP & Director of International Sales, the Jr Sales Analyst will provide essential analytical support and competitive analysis to the PRH International Sales division on internal and industry category trends; informing Sales and Publishing efforts to grow our business and increase market share.

Responsibilities:
• Provide general analytical support for Sales business initiatives, including regular reporting on the book marketplace, customers, competition, authors and top titles.
• Generate sales reports, tracking reports, and weekly Point-of-Sales analysis for department heads, account managers, and multiple departments throughout the division.
• Attend and present at weekly meetings with Sales & Marketing departments, publishers, and accounts as needed.
• Assist in creating presentations for sales initiatives and updates; analyze information, draw conclusions, and make suggestions based on data.
• Assist Sales Managers and sales management with research and reviews upon request.
• Create ad hoc reports including but not limited to exception reports, open order reports, monthly key account business reviews, returns reports, and title analysis as requested.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to analyze author trends internally and industry wide and provide postmortem analysis of lead titles, publishing programs, marketing initiatives, and category reviews.
• Contribute to quarterly and annual sales analysis (POS and billings) to surface opportunity titles and trends across PRH divisions and industry, articulating market share shifts, gaps, and opportunities for market growth.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 1.5 years of related experience which includes working with data and/or business analytics, preferably within publishing
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (i.e. v-lookups, arrays, macros, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Strong PowerPoint and general presentation creation skills, with an emphasis on data visualization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels within a company
• Comfortable working with numbers, including the ability to analyze and present complex information from multiple data sources concisely
• Adaptable with the ability to quickly learn new information systems and integrate them into existing processes
• Superb attention to detail and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Able to shift priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with business intelligence systems (i.e. PowerBI, Business Objects, etc.) is a plus
