Brand Marketing Manager / Sr. Brand Marketing Manager, Random House Worlds (Open to Remote)

The marketing team at Random House Worlds is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Brand Marketing Manager or Senior Brand Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Assistant Marketing Director, this position provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative and hands-on department renowned as the best-in-class publisher for pop culture licensed books. Random House Worlds is proud to publish a long and growing list of titles from bestselling brands, including Star Wars, Stranger Things, Dungeons & Dragons, Critical Role, Minecraft, and more. We are a highly collaborative team who love to bring our authentic style of nerdery to our favorite fictional worlds.

The Brand Marketing Manager will oversee title marketing campaigns and ongoing growth initiatives for high-profile brand publishing partners, including online promotions, influencer outreach, advertising, and overall creative strategy. They will be the main marketing contact for licensors and will assure that marketing campaigns satisfy both Random House Worlds and licensing partner goals.

The Role:
• Crafts and executes marketing campaigns for a host of licensed titles (Star Wars, Minecraft, Netflix, and more) with the goal of driving reader engagement and sales
• Helps with the strategic planning and on-site management of various consumer-facing pop culture conventions
• Manages multiple marketing projects with varying timelines
• Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders within licensing partnerships
• Works closely across departments with editorial, publicity, sales, and creative services (including social media, email marketing, design, copy, and media buyers)
• Identifies available audiences for each book and ways to reach them through advertising, promotion, and social media while also keeping up to date on new platforms and marketing methods

Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Candidates should have demonstrated success in a fast-paced work environment that necessitates managing complicated schedules and attention to detail.

Random House Worlds is a collaborative publishing environment and candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team and willing to go the extra mile for authors and licensing partners.

This position has the flexibility to be completely work-from-home, hybrid, or local to New York City.

The Essentials:
• 3-6 years of experience in book promotion or related media, such as magazines, music, film/TV
• A passion for fandom, reading, initiative, innovation, collaboration, and curiosity
• Genuine interest in licensed publishing and pop culture
• Interest in consumer conventions, such as San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con
• Ability to speak and communicate effectively with major authors and stakeholders
• Able to apply organizational methods and strategies to meet deadlines and manage multiple active projects at once in a fast-paced and details-focused environment
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, and HTML skills, or an avid interest in learning these skills and languages
• Proficiency as well as strong interest in using social media platforms as a marketing tool
• Ability to work independently in a proactive manner and collaborate with the team when needed
• Proficiency in creative problem solving and decision making
• A goal-oriented team player who can cultivate a productive working relationship

The salary range for the Brand Marketing Manager position is $67,000-$70,000 and the salary range for the Sr. Brand Marketing Manager level is $70,000-$75,000.

The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
