Associate National Account Manager, PRHPS

Penguin Random House is seeking an Associate National Account Manager responsible for selling, positioning and managing titles across the adult client publisher portfolio to Books-A-Million. Clients responsible for will include Quirk Books, Rizzoli, Titan, and the MIT Press among others.

The Associate National Account Manager will serve as primary liaison to Books-A-Million for assigned client publishers and will be responsible for management of each publisher's full catalog with the account.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Maximize sales growth and performance for all assigned publishers (roughly 1/3 of client publisher portfolio)
• Manage customer coop across client portfolio
• Foster and strengthen relationships with client and customer contacts
• Create, develop and ensure proper and effective execution of customer promotional efforts for client titles
• Regular communication regarding account updates and opportunities to clients and sales managers
• Active participation in all client publisher meetings, specifically regarding title development and customer needs
• Engage in regular POS and promotion performance analysis
• Monthly billings review across client portfolio

Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, including selling to accounts or customers
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Intimate knowledge of product (essential) and publishing functions (preferred)
• Ability to adapt and work well under pressure
• Dynamic, creative thinker with ability to innovate
• Self-motivated, self-starter with excellent analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
