As a Senior Director of Product Design on our team, you will mentor, conceive, define, design, develop, test, and launch vivid and compelling experiences that are contextually relevant, exceedingly useful, and will drive results.

What we're looking for in a candidate:
• You provide creative thought leadership and drive UX design solutions by combining industry best practices with your own expertise and insight about human behavior.
• You are a seasoned design leader with relentlessly high standards, and deep operational knowledge and expertise in every aspect of UX and product design.
• You lead design teams in ideation and concept explorations.
• You partner with Product Management, Engineering, and other internal partners to define the strategy & experience of consumer facing products.
• You have worked on a commerce experience in the past that focuses on a transaction, product display page (PDP), or a shopping cart.
• You are thoughtful and like to learn. You are fully versed in consumer digital product best practices, technologies, and tools.
• You have the desire to ground everything with data and/or listen to the voice of the consumer.
• You identify the most impactful concepts and push them through a rigorous course of critical evaluation, execution, implementation, experimentation, success-or failure.
• You are a mature & strong communicator and presenter-able to articulate your point-of-view and engage in fact-based discourse.
• Partner cross collaboratively with senior product and business leaders including the Executive team on strategy and execution.
• You are scrappy-focused, driven, and the natural owner of both big ideas and practical daily output.
• You are agile and nimble in the elegant manner in which you pivot.
• You are not just eager to get to the finish-line but eager to bring others with you to that finish-line.
• You feel most at home in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment.
• You are fluid and adaptable-able to work on multiple tracks and pivot from one project to another.

What you will be doing:
• Lead a team of product designers to deliver end-to-end UX for high-value, consumer-centric digital products.
• Present creative to all audiences. Formulate and communicate ideas and plans to peers, leadership, and engineering contributors.
• Balance inputs from business, design, research, technology, and external partners. Create a network of cross-functional partners. Build rapport and earn trust.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to successfully deliver products to market.
• Lead others. Grow talent. Provide creative direction and mentorship to designers and define patterns and practices for the team and the product.
• Provide updates to leadership and address blockers for the team.
• Have a human centered design approach to how to evolve our output and process.
• Maintain a critical eye, and an obsessive attention to detail.
• An ambassador to a healthy and collaborative culture for our product organization.

Qualifications
• 10+ years industry experience in the field of UX/Product Design
• 7+ years of experience managing and developing diverse design teams
• A degree in design, computer science, human factor design
• An online portfolio reflecting that experience, including shipped and currently in-market products, and demonstrating end-to-end design methodology
• Advanced expertise with leading design tools, including the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Sketch, Figma, and other collaboration and prototyping tools
• Past experience leading a team of 5 or more resources
• Past experience working on a commerce product that entails a commerce journey
• Demonstrated expertise and experience designing for web, mobile, and other application platforms
