Peacock's Personalization team helps every user discover content they want to watch as quickly as possible. The team identifies, builds, and optimizes a variety of machine learning and recommender models that power personalization across the product. We are looking for a seasoned product leader to define, drive, and execute the vision and strategy of Peacock personalization partnering with a globally distributed full-stack personalization team of data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and editors.
In This Role, You Will
• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Peacock's suite of personalized product experiences
• Clearly articulate, evangelize, and align the organization behind the personalization strategy and value proposition
• Identify how to scale Peacock's personalization capabilities to meet our growing international reach
• Lead cross-functional efforts to accelerate the impacts of personalization on our users and the business
• Build machine learning powered products that address each stage of the user lifecycle
• Partner with Data Science and Technology teams to research, develop and iterate on Machine Learning models
• Deeply understand business considerations, competitive landscape, and best practices to drive optimal streaming video experiences
• Manage, mentor, and motivate a growing team of product managers
What You Have
• Passion to learn our users, their lifecycle, and behaviors.
• Understanding of modern ML/AI approaches and experience with personalization and recommendation products
• Experience leading personalization efforts in a media product
• Ability to clearly identify the tradeoffs of product KPIs and decisions
• A desire to work closely with data scientists, engineers, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Distinguished verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• An appreciation for TV/entertainment
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate a wide range of detailed information, clearly identifying the important points to determine coherent approaches to problems
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
• Enthusiasm to be positive, confident, energetic and display a willingness to lead
Qualifications/Requirements
• 5+ years managing product managers
• 5+ years working in data-intensive field working (ex. building recommendations or other machine learning-related products)
• Experience with feature A/B testing, metrics analysis and rapid experimentation
• Experience in consumer-facing media product
• Experience converting business ideas and research into well-thought-out and timely product releases
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Software literacy and comfort with various product tools such as Jira, excel and Adobe Analytics
