Description

NBCUniversal is hiring a Senior Designer, Editorial to join a creative and passionate team that is responsible for optimizing the design of the wild array of top-tier live events and on-demand content merchandised to customers across the Peacock interface.
Our Editorial Creative team is seeking a highly collaborative and solutions-minded design leader who is adept at swiftly handling change in a constantly evolving creative environment. Your designs will drive casual viewers and die-hard fans alike to discover and watch marquee live sports and other events from around the world. (And here's where all those hours watching sports gives you a real leg up -- in this position, you'll get to leverage your expert knowledge while working with the wider Peacock team to support marquee events like Sunday Night Football and Major League Baseball games, Premier League soccer, WWE and more.)

The ideal candidate for this role possesses deep expertise in digital design and its relationship with on-product metadata, along with the presence and relationship-building experience needed to negotiate and shape creative solutions for both internal and external partners. Data and the customer experience will be your driving forces as you collaborate with league partners, product developers, operations specialists, data scientists and technologists to support Editorial image requirements on Peacock. You will be a subject matter expert for all things related to our sports content and how content appears on Peacock, while providing guidance and best practices to ensure our specs and standards are upheld across the team.

Your refined eye, workflow expertise and knack for processes will ensure consistent, accurate and on-time deliveries for Peacock. The successful candidate will join a talented creative team of writers and designers who are tasked with supporting our crucial content supply chain.

Responsibilities
• Liaise with internal partners at multiple levels on the Product team to identify needs, provide direction, and advise on best practice guidance while managing additions to and iterations of the ever-evolving Sports Editorial Toolkit
• Oversee end-to-end imagery workflows for all SLEs (Single Live Events)
• Build and maintain a growing library of logos, templates and licensed athlete imagery
• Confidently provide editorial image guidance and best practices to external and internal partners
• Identify workflow pain points and work cross-functionally with all stakeholders to reevaluate, iterate, present and execute new workflow optimizations
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of our end-to-end imagery process across the Live Event workflow and all system touch points
• Confidently guide internal Product partners in new project kickoffs, including requirements-gathering, evaluating LOE for image changes and more
• Identify new ways to work more closely with the adjacent metadata team, advocating for their needs on timeline requirements in cross-functional meetings
• Champion the Editorial Creative team, elevating EC's visibility and authority as a force of nature within the wider flock
• Uphold and challenge the already-incredibly-high creative standard EC has established for Peacock Editorial imagery and design
