The Business
Operations & Strategy group is looking for an exceptional candidate for the position of Sr. Analyst, Peacock Ad Sales Strategy. You will be joining a blue-chip team with significant media experience in addition to varied professional services backgrounds. As Sr. Analyst, you will play a vital role within the Ad Sales Strategy team. You will impact new revenue generation across Peacock and the broader NBCUniversal portfolio by identifying growth opportunities and playing a central role within the NBCU Ad Sales team.
The NBCU Ad Sales Strategy team is responsible for driving long-term growth opportunities for the sales organization. Acting as strategic consultants, this dynamic team supports Ad Sales and corporate stakeholders across a wide range of initiatives including sales optimization, go-to-market strategies, budgeting and planning analyses, and market insights. The Sr. Analyst will interface with business leaders across multiple functions, both inside and outside Ad Sales. We're looking for a dynamic person to bring innovative thinking and strong analytical skills to help grow our business.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monetization analytics and go-to-market strategies for NBCUniversal's Peacock streaming service:
Support the development and execution of Peacock's monetization strategy:
• Opportunity identification & assessment (internal and/or external market analyses and benchmarking)
• Strategy / business case development (including executive presentation development/delivery)
• Ad Sales go-to-market strategy development in partnership with cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Planning, Marketing, Insights & Measurement)
• Tactical execution / oversight of performance vs. strategic goals
Oversee Ad Sales key performance indicators for Peacock:
• Generate monthly cross-functional executive KPI reports
• Support Manager(s) with weekly / monthly cross-functional KPI meetings to assess and monitor performance
• Identify opportunities to optimize Peacock's sales performance and inform data-driven strategic decision making
• Partner with BI to automate KPIs into executive dashboards in partnership with cross-functional counterparts across Finance, Ad Experience, Planning/Inventory, and Insights & Measurement.
• Partner with the Ad Experience, Inventory, and Insights & Measurement teams to define new KPIs related to new ad innovations and ad experience policies
Partner with the broader Peacock team on sales inputs to key strategic initiatives, including:
• Monetization identification and scenario analysis in partnership with Peacock's Revenue Fulfillment team
• Content decisioning scenario analysis in partnership with Peacock's Corporate Strategy team
• Impact analysis of new audience insights in partnership with the ad sales and Peacock research teams
• Identify market / competitive trends and internal insights to inform new sales growth opportunities for Peacock
• Collaborate with the Ad Sales Finance team on the annual Budget and LRP processes to incorporate internal and external trends into financial models
• Partner on the development of NBCU's unique Peacock ad sales positioning opportunities to our advertising clients
• Drive ad hoc requests with thoughtful, diligent business case analysis in coordination with cross-functional partners
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Must possess a passion for media and strong intellectual curiosity
• 2+ years previous relevant work experience; this could include professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking) or media experience at a large network/publisher/agency
• Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills
• Strong PowerPoint skills and proven proficiency summarizing information/analyses into coherent and concise slides
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly
• Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently
• BA/BS required
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
Desired Characteristics
• Previous experience in advertising sales or at a media company a plus
• Ideal candidate is a proactive individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and perform analysis and other tasks with minimal supervision, including the ability to deal with competing priorities effectively, and work efficiently in a high-paced, results-oriented environment
• Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions and championing the voice of sales
• Ability to develop strong relationships with across all levels of the organization
