Role Details
We are looking for you – a dynamic, data-driven, best-in-class talent to join the Peacock team as a Manager of Paid Search. This is a brand-new, critical role within the Growth Marketing organization, specifically the Performance Marketing pod, leading in-house paid search efforts for Peacock, as we look to insource management of our SEM program from 3rd party agencies. You will be charged with owning the strategy, development, implementation, and ongoing management of search engine marketing campaigns with the goal of driving efficient subscriber growth and engagement for Peacock.

The Manager of Paid Search is a SEM subject-matter expert who serves as a large contributor to the overall success of the Peacock business. They will own the day-to-day paid search campaign management as well as help train, develop and lead junior team members towards success. This person must be organized, well-spoken and have leadership qualities as they manage and delegate projects to meet Peacock's business needs.

Responsibilities
• Own the strategy, development and optimization of paid search campaigns to efficiently acquire qualified Peacock subscriber growth and engagement. This includes cost per acquisition/subscription and cost per stream campaign KPIs across paid search web (Google, Bing) and in-app (Google UAC, Apple Search).
• Monitors search performance to identify key trends and recommends advanced optimization techniques to drive account improvement.
• Partner with our analytics, site, brand strategy/content teams to deliver high-quality campaigns and bring program strategies to life.
• Optimize channel performance through structural improvements and Test & Learn strategies (copy, messaging, creative).
• Liaise with the broader internal team to gain an understanding of campaign-specific goals, targeting and budgets, while collaborating on best practices and strategic recommendations.
• Analyze KPIs on an ongoing basis to ensure that campaigns are maximizing return on ad spend – focus on finding and driving high-quality Peacock subscribers as determined by lifetime value.
• Serve as paid search expert, platform partner and trend-spotter to bring first-to-market paid search opportunities/testing of new betas that align with business objectives.
• Drive paid search innovation within the team – identify and/or build tools to improve automation and help drive overall business results.
• Partner with platform/vendor partners to implement best practices across paid media tactics using Peacock's first and third party data to inform decisions while staying true to the Peacock brand.
• Seek and develop innovative testing ideas and strategies that leverage identified opportunities as well as changes in technology and consumer behavior.
• Ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly with an eye on constant optimization.
• Lead monitoring and analysis of campaign performance, using performance signals to inform optimization regimen and improve strategy.
• Liaise with internal SEO and landing page teams to ensure strategies are in sync.
• Mentor SEM Specialists, communicate task execution and timeline requirements, strategic guidance, and constructive feedback to aid in their growth in their core functional areas or responsibilities.
• Translate desired overarching business outcomes to specific search executions for junior team members to put in motion.
• Has a working knowledge of the impact other channels have on search and vice-versa.
• Works with 3rd party agencies who manage other channels for holistic planning and integration opportunity identification.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 2-3+ years of hands-on, in-platform paid search experience.
• Deep knowledge of SEM best practices, tools and technologies. Must understand key performance metrics against diverse marketing goals, and how to apply those KPIs to SEM execution, bid management, and insight development.

Desired Characteristics
• Paid Search experience within agency preferred.
• Strong working understanding of the SEM industry, including major players and supporting technology (bid management tools such as SA360), Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google UAC, Apple Search.
• Track record for successfully driving customer growth and revenue for a direct-to-consumer brand. Subscription experience preferred.
• Experience with app campaign and Mobile Marketing Attribution (such as Kochava) strongly preferred.
• Experience working on enterprise level SEM accounts with large budgets.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive systems, specifically in Excel/Sheets.
• Strong understanding of the interrelationship between paid search and other digital channels.
• Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, excellent communicator and able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Polished with excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills – comfortable dealing with data and reporting.
• Ability to adapt to change and continually evolve skills to meet the ever-changing needs of the streaming industry.
• Experience leading and managing junior team members.
