The Manager, Social Media – NBC Sports on Peacock position is a new role that will sit at the critical junction of NBC Sports and Peacock, NBCUniversal's streaming service.

This person will take an active role in executing social content strategy and publishing sports content on the NBC Sports social channels, working closely with counterparts to do the same on the Peacock handles.

The ideal candidate has an authentic passion for digital and sports media, a sharp editorial eye, and the willingness to join a creative and collaborative environment.

This role will focus specifically on the expanding Peacock sports offerings on NBC Sports, including Olympic programming, the Premier League, golf, motorsports, Sports Talk programming, and more.

Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:
• Execute and evolve the day-to-day content strategy, ideation, creation, and publishing of Peacock-related social content across a variety of NBC Sports social channels.
• Collaborate with NBC Sports social leadership to maintain an appropriate content calendar that promotes Peacock programming.
• Work cross-functionally with NBC Sports social coordinators during live events on Peacock to capture and amplify the most engaging moments.
• Lead and participate in conception and creation of creative and promotional content.
• Collaborate with producers of Peacock's lineup of talk shows to place interviews and other show highlights on NBC Sports social channels.
• Identify key Peacock non-sports programming priorities and develop content to holistically support them from Sports handles.
• Analyze post performance and platform trends to evolve and advance social strategy and content.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years relevant work experience contributing to, or leading social strategy at a sports and/or media organization.
• Extensive knowledge of the sports and media landscape, with an understanding of how social is best used in today's ecosystem.
• Experience and proficiency in the Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop and Premiere.
• Basic knowledge of social data and how learnings can be applied.
• Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as the sports calendar dictates.

Desired Characteristics
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
