Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for the following:
• Managing a team of 2 managers, as well as intern/CORE associates, including coaching, mentoring and providing guidance to the team
• Ad hoc accounting projects
• Capital oversite and review of journal entries and reconciliations
• Month end close procedures inclusive of journal entry reviews, blackline reviews and financial statement prep and analysis
• Partnering with the business operators to flag concerns and brainstorming solutions to de-risk the business
• Assisting with tracking and review of accounting issues and their resolution with Comcast/NBCU Technical accounting
• Drafting of accounting memos on process, accounting and technical guidance
• Sales Tax Projects, including Vertex integration, reporting review, and monitoring Comcast filings
• Process documentation for new and existing processes and contribution of new ideas for efficiencies and accuracy of financials
• Review of Blackline reconciliations and underlying supporting documentation
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to review monthly P&L variances between actuals and budget/forecast
• Assistance on tax incentive audits, including pulling detail reports, supporting documentation and analysis for inclusion of costs
• Support long-term Global Controllership initiatives for automation and standardization – Support Controller & Sr. Director to maintain and enhance strong controllership environment
• Assistance with data requests and other controllership due dates

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Four (4) year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Accounting
• 6+ years accounting experience required
• CPA License required
• Excel required
• Able to work with different departments and clients
• Problem solving skills, ability to dig in to problems and drive resolutions
• Programming accounting and/or fixed asset/software experience desired
• Detail Oriented

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• Big 4 Accounting experience preferred
• Excellent research, organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• SAP experience preferred
