They will manage all phases of the grant cycle, including posting communications and solicitations; request for proposal process; development of grant eligibility requirements; application and submission tracking in an appropriate database format and system; and will gather all data required for intermittent status reporting and budget purposes until the end of the grant term.
About the Major Projects:
CPB: With support from the Corporation of Public Broadcasting (CPB), PBS Digital Studios establishes three Regional Digital Centers of Innovation(RDCI's) within the PBS member station system. These centers will be located at three different, geographically, and culturally diverse Member Stations across the country.
Over 2.5 years, these innovation centers will help build digital production capacity through regional workshops and training. Each RDCI will also partner with several local Member Stations to produce new, diverse multi-platform programming. In total, there will be up to fifteen (15) new digital series created throughout the project
NSF: PBS Digital Studios was awarded a grant through the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program at the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project aims to broaden participation and audiences for STEM content online by identifying, testing, and implementing tactics to reach historically underrepresented groups in STEM on YouTube and other social media platforms.
The project endeavors to advance the reach and impact of online STEM content, providing a critical opportunity to not only create data-driven and culturally relevant content but to better understand and represent the groups that PBS seeks to reach. This will be done through creating 100-120 STEM videos and launching an integrated research project.
