Overview and Responsibilities

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading engineering and technology projects within the CBS Marketing Operations team. You will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle from ideation, planning, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.

In this role, you will define and execute project plans, assist in the assignment of appropriate resources, regularly track and update project progress, take action to ensure deadlines can be met when project conditions change, and communicate project status to team members and management.

Job responsibilities
• Manage multiple concurrent projects through an Agile software development lifecycle, including project planning, documentation, Jira ticket management, conducting internal status meetings, resource, and capacity planning, coordinating activities across team members, and providing routine updates to management.
• Identify, monitor, and report project-related issues to facilitate a timely resolution.
• Handle conflicting priorities and ensure all issues are worked to successful completion.
• Lead backlog prioritization exercises, sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and other related meetings.
• Proactively identify potential project risks, and support the team to identity solutions to remove roadblocks

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years' experience running a highly organized agile methodology!
• Experience with industry-standard project management tools such as Jira, and collaboration tools such as Confluence and Slack.
• Experience leading technical projects ideally in a post-production environment

Additional Qualifications
• Know and understand the technology stack (including AWS, Azure, Avid) and be able to work with the team to identify technical tasks feasibility and timelines.
• Creatively and optimally communicate complicated technical projects through visuals (charts or diagrams) or project management tools (like Jira Roadmaps) to help the team and management conceptualize the scope, progress and dependencies of projects.
• Be comfortable crafting a plan that can be followed by engineers.
• Prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.
• Can balance multiple challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• BA Degree and OR PMP certification is highly desirable
