Primary Responsibilities:
Paramount Tech is hiring a resource & facility Scheduler/Video on Demand Assistant for our Media Distribution Center (MDC), which currently originates the CBS & CW Television Network while also creating and distributing assets for those Network's Video on Demand operations.
This position is responsible for Handling the schedules of 43 union IBEW/DGA technicians, in compliance with existing collective bargaining agreements, based on Broadcast and Operational needs.
Examples include:
• Preparing and carrying out Technician schedules (daily, weekly, & monthly), build vacation profiles, and monitor union payroll increases/adjustment/discrepancies as needed.
• Managing Illness, Personal Day, and Flex Day time off, Leave of absence and short-term disability requests. This position will be required to meet union deadlines as it pertains to posting technician schedules.
• Interfacing with Labor Relations as well as IBEW and DGA management when necessary.
• Collaborate with management to confirm Broadcast schedules and Special Event planning such as The Grammy's, The Tony Awards, NFL regular and post season requirements, etc.
• Assisting the Manager, Video on Demand (VOD), in creating, editing formats and metadata for Network daytime/primetime and late-night programming
• Works with VOD AD operations to ensure all commercial and promo inventory is distributed to our Multi-channel Video Programming Distributors (MVPD's).
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (On-call capacity).
Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and talents:
• Minimum of 2 years scheduling experience.
• Experience in a 24/7 Broadcasting / Master Control environment.
• Experience with scheduling software (i.e., Media pulse, schedule all, etc.)
Additional Qualifications:
• College degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Detail oriented (Air & Broadcast scheduling, etc.)
• Experience working with Union contracts (i.e., IBEW and DGA)
