Paramount Networks International, is comprised of many of the world's most popular multimedia entertainment brands, including MTV, MTV LIVE HD, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central, Paramount Channel, BET and more. Paramount brands reach more than 3.8 billion cumulative subscribers in 180+ countries and territories via more than 200 locally programmed and operated TV channels and more than 550 digital media and mobile TV properties, in 40 languages.
Master Data Governance Team (MDG) is responsible for maintaining the SAP Master Data (static information applied to transactions and processing, used to facilitate reporting and analysis by grouping common pieces of information together) used at Viacom Media Networks.
There are generally two types of Master Data used at VMN:
Accounts:
a) GL accounts are used to record financial transactions, enabling reporting as assets, liabilities, equity, revenue and expenses
b) Sub-Ledger Accounts are used to group a general ledger account's transactions into vendors (AP), customers (AR) or assets (fixed assets and programming assets), providing an additional level of reporting and analysis.
2) Code block: refers to elements within SAP that, when included in transactional postings, allow up to group common pieces of information together to enable external and internal reporting, analysis and reconciliation. E.g.: Profit Centre, Cost Centre, Project/WBS, MPM, Functional Area, Line of Business, Location, Brand, Trading Partner, Internal Order.
In addition to the GL account and code block maintenance, MDG is responsible for creating and updating manual SAP profiles for temporary employees in SAP HR Mini system.
This role is fixed term for 1 year, based in the Financial Shared Services Center.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to Supervisor, Master Data Governance Group
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Verify Project maintenance requests coming through the Master Data Tool requests for accuracy and validity.
• Understand the relations between attributes in a Project master data, impact of changes to the attributes
• Create new Projects in a timely manner, with accuracy.
• Govern the Media Product Master, check the validity of requests.
• Create, maintain and audit SAP FI and CO master data, GL accounts, Cost Center, Profit Center, with a thorough understanding of the impact of changes of attributes.
• Escalate requests and issues to the Production support team for requests related to master data needing RTR configuration.
• Track the requests, and maintain all backup copies in an organized fashion.
• Provide necessary reports and/or backups to the compliance team periodically as well as upon request.
• Perform periodic clean-up of projects, close projects that are inactive, mark inactive projects for deletion.
Other clean-up activities as assigned.
• Settlement of assets: understand the settlement rule, create and correct settlement rule, rectify settlement errors with supervision.
• Change amortization types, maintain programming asset master data.
• Create and maintain Capital Projects and Fixed Assets.
• Create, maintain intangible assets.
• Monitoring/answering email questions that come through the Service Now incident management system
• Liaison between Finance, Controllers group, Business groups, Production support, and the rest of the groups in the Shared Services Office
• Participate in activities related to subsequent SAP rollouts, improvements to Master Data Tool such as testing.

ROLE-SPECIFIC SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in the Master Data group in a complex global environment.
• Experience in a multi-location company.
• Media Industry Background desirable.
• Experience in SAP FICO, Project System as a user or super user preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, other office applications. Prior experience in ERP accounting system.
