This dual role supports both the Velocity Pitch and Trade teams. The pitch team is a market facing team passionate about advertiser partner needs and lead ideation based on client brief, data and insights, and VMN talent/ assets. This position also supports the Trade team within Velocity, a cross-disciplinary team passionate about the development of strategy and marketing communications associated with Velocity's positioning in the Ad Sales marketplace. The Manager position reports into the Director, working across all Viacom kids & family, music and entertainment brands. In this role, you will partner with Ad Sales and support the Pitch Management team to help ideate and develop convergent campaigns across various Viacom Properties. Collaboration is at the core of this role as you will be working closely with execution and creative counterparts to manage client requests.
In addition, you should be a teammate, a fan of our content, talent and franchises, and have a passion for developing innovative and creative sponsorship solutions for clients that are engaging, drive revenue and provide meaningful solutions.
Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
• Coordinate creative development, presentation and project management, supporting a dedicated sales team
• Work cross-disciplinarily with sales, programming and creative departments in order to facilitate concept development and execution of linear and online driven business
• Author support materials for the advertising sales force, including standard sponsorship packages and custom convergent programs
• Coordinate with marketing and sales to address client feedback and/or changes to a marketing proposal/concept
• Track, communicate and disseminate sponsorship information to provide oversight and constant communication
• Monitor progress on all phenomenal custom pitches and update reports accordingly
• Assist Trade team in the creation of go-to-market sales materials and toolkits by collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams (including Brand Sales, Content Distribution, Communications & Culture, and Operations)
• Craft and manage documents that enable greater scale within partnerships in the form of case studies, one-pagers, and capability decks using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
• Lead requests pertinent to Velocity's industry positioning and using internal capabilities, portfolio offerings, and creative insights
• Collaborate on decks and scripting for various media industry presentations on behalf of senior leadership
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years experience in Ad Sales, integrated marketing and/or agency experience
Additional Qualifications:
• A hard worker in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Creative writing skills in addition to excellent oral and written communication skills
• Client-focused mind-set while understanding the needs of ad sales and the channels
• Excellent project management and research skills
• Curiosity about social media and digital platforms
• Phenomenal balance of disciplined critical thinking and creative passion
• Ability to manage both up and down
• Well-organized, meticulous, ability to prioritize and multi-task
