Overview and Responsibilities

Paramount is looking for a passionate, self-motivated Lead Software Quality Engineer to handle all aspects of testing (functional, performance, load, security, etc) across our Enterprise technology portfolio. This individual will be partnering with various teams (product, engineering, and quality) by assisting with the development of processes and tools that allow the organization to excel in its continuous software development initiatives. Responsibilities Include
• Work on product/project teams developing all forms of test documentation including test plans, test cases, test execution, test statuses, etc.
• Provide technical quality leadership and mentorship to the projects and resources that are assigned by implementing testing standard methodologies
• Conduct technical assessment of process and teams
• Operate in multiple SDLC methodologies; agile, waterfall, scrum, kanban, etc.
• Operate using multiple testing tools
• Perform all forms of testing included but not limited to functional, integration, security, ad-hoc, end-to-end and regression testing
• Communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work on multiple concurrent projects
• Work according to deadlines for the delivery of test documentation and test execution results
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing test and project data
• Participate in the creation and execution of automation test scripts
• Partner with software engineering to craft and develop tools and to assist in continuous development initiatives
• Work alongside and mentor other test engineers to continuously improve process and provide mentorship into our internal training bootcamps
• Contribute to and help maintain the testing framework for various types of testing (functional, load/performance, security) on multiple platforms (web, iOS/Android, emerging, OTT)

Basic Qualifications
• Self-starter who can work independently
• Strong knowledge of software quality practices and ability to learn & adopt emerging concepts
• Ability to interact with multi-functional teams and assist in solving issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Presentation, analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to ensure that test documentation adheres to quality standards
• Knowledge/ability to use various software programs (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, email, Teams, Slack, etc.)
• Knowledge/ability to use various testing tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, TFS, etc.)
• 5+ years of designing and working with test automation frameworks and developing automated test scripts (web, mobile & OTT) specifically object-oriented frameworks
• 5+ years working with Enterprise, SaaS, web developed software from a testing perspective
• 5+ years working with thick client, thin client from a testing perspective
• 5+ years working and testing with various online research and analytics tools
• 3+ years working with and leading offshore resource

Additional Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of software quality practices and ability to learn & adopt emerging concepts
• Strong software development and technical architecture skills
• and a passion for scalability, reliability, and reusable code
• Experience working with cloud-based architectures and tools (AWS, Microsoft, Google)
• Experience with Agile testing methodologies
• Technical/working knowledge of information technology concepts, local and wide area networks, content delivery networks, database theory, and solid understanding on caching strategies
• Strong object-oriented programming background and a passion for scalability, reliability, and reusable code
• Experience with at least one of popular programming languages (Java, C#, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, Python). Experience in Java strongly preferred
• Experience with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, Git)
• Experience with test tools (Selenium, Webdriver, Junit, TestNG, Appium, Android UiAutomator, iOS UiAutomation)
• Proficient with continuous development tools and build tools (i.e., Jenkins, Bamboo)
• Experience with performance testing tools (i.e., jMeter, Gatling)
• Knowledge of proxy tools (i.e., Charles, Fiddler, Httpwatch)
• Self-starter who can work independently
• Masters degree in science is required!
