Overview & Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst will immediately supply towards optimizing the growth and performance of financial processes within the Global Content Licensing Division. This person will be responsible for various tasks about the day-to-day incoming cash receipts, monthly reconciliation analysis and annual year-end close process of cash and cash adjustments. The ideal candidate is well organized, solution-oriented, and able to take initiative.
• Handling heavy cash application activities
• Upload the daily bank information for all business entities from JPM Chase Bank's Portal
• Research and process domestic and international syndication incoming cash receipts
• Communicate daily with the collections team
• Update and maintain cash logs by business unit
• Prepare monthly cash reconciliations as needed
• Prepare monthly journals in Oracle for non-system cash related items
• Prepare monthly intercompany journals for stations and streaming groups
• Prepare cash actuals reports by business unit
• Prepare quarterly accounts receivables status reports for residual purposes
• Back-up assistance for cash application and reporting processes.
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Assist department supervisor with special projects as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's required, a focus in Finance, Accounting or related area preferred
• 2+ years of Finance and/or related experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Additional Qualifications:
• Comprehensive accounts receivable and general ledger experience
• Strong work ethic that takes ownership of assigned areas and is capable of performing a variety of time sensitive tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Work well in a team oriented environment
• Experience with Oracle general ledger accounting software and Cognos
• Experience within Entertainment Industry Finance is a plus!
