Director Of Data Engineering- Remote

Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 200,000.00

As a Director of Data Engineering, you will be collaborating with Ad Sales, Marketing, Research, Finance, Product, and other engineering data teams to build out scalable data pipelines and data products for Paramount Global. Responsibilities:
• Lead data initiatives across Paramount Streaming Organization
• Lead a data engineering team and software engineers for developing scalable and reliable data pipelines
• Drive data architecture and systems planning
• Partner with our product, infrastructure, BI, and marketing teams, developing technical roadmaps aligned with the company's vision and strategy
• Partner with other data engineering groups and implement standards and best practices.
• Stay current with the latest technology trends!

Qualities & Experience We're Seeking:
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar degree
• 10+ Years and strong experience in Data Engineering or Software Development or Data Science and 5+ years leading teams
• Strong experience with data engineering on big data platforms
• Experience working with Streaming data
• Experience working in either GCP or AWS cloud platform
• Programming Experience in Python or Scala
• Experience working with large volumes of data
• Practical experience in Agile/SAFe methodology and tools
• Experience demonstrating leadership, self-motivation, accountability, and being a standout colleague.
• Demonstrated ability to create and develop business plan and ability to articulate long-term value proposition
• Proactive and strategic thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications:
• Experience developing SDLC processes, including DevSecOps & CI/CD
• Familiarity with exploratory data analysis using tools like Jupyter Labs, Pandas & matplotlib, etc.
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience working with resources from multiple regions

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
