Overview & Responsibilities:

CBS Interactive is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their Financial Planning & Analysis team in New York, NY to support the Nickelodeon's Pre-school brand, Noggin. The Financial Analyst will support the Entertainment division of CBS Interactive and will focus primarily on Noggin our education technology streaming service.

This position offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity within a successful and growing global media organization. It will provide wide ranging exposure to the evolving interactive content industry while working within the broader media umbrella of ViacomCBS Corporation. Your-day-to-day includes but is not limited to:
• Responsible for creating and maintaining complex financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting and expansion of Noggin
• Long-range planning
• Work with internal business partners (Data Insights Group, Marketing, & Content & Strategy) to model Noggin's expansion opportunities
• Maintain and update monthly Headcount reporting including FTE's and Project Base Employees
• Assist in building and maintaining Noggins weekly subscriber pacing and critical metric reporting (KPI's)
• Lead detailed operating expense and revenue budgets for digital content including Production, Participations & Residuals, and Marketing budgets
• Partner with Sr. Manager to build an interim and quarterly OI outlook process to monitor and communicate updates on projected quarterly results versus actual quarterly results.
• Maintain Longview planning units (profit centers, cost centers, project codes) to ensure the most efficient reporting from the financial system. Adopt change and tailor reporting for any go forward changes to the VCBS financial planning system
• Gain presentation skills and deck building with monthly close meetings and long range plan reporting
• Assist with Corp compliance or investor relations reporting
• Ad hoc requests and analyses will be frequent

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business related field is required
• Minimum of 2+ years experience in FP&A, finance or equivalent quantitative roles

Additional Qualifications:
• Prior experience in digital media, specifically in a subscription-based role, is highly desirable
• High level of proficiency in Excel, experience in preparing complex financial models and manipulating large datasets
• Strong communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners
• Experience in a highly analytical environment
• Strong work ethic and an acute attention to detail required
• Ability to work quickly and accurately on multiple projects concurrently
• Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Accounting major preferred
• Rigorous modeling experience
• Prior experience in digital media, specifically in a subscription-based role, is highly desirable
