(Remote) Sr. Technical Product Manager, Video Metadata & Distribution

Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from Paramount Global, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. The premium streaming service features an expansive library of original series, hit shows and popular movies across every genre from world-renowned brands and production studios, including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures and the Smithsonian Channel. The service is also the streaming home to unmatched sports programming, including every CBS Sports event, from golf to football to basketball and more, plus exclusive streaming rights for major sports properties, including some of the world's biggest and most popular soccer leagues. Paramount+ also enables subscribers to stream local CBS stations live across the US in addition to the ability to stream Paramount Streaming's other live channels: CBSN for 24/7 news, CBS Sports HQ for sports news and analysis, and ET Live for entertainment coverage.

As a member of the Paramount+ Content Systems Product team, you'll lead the tools and systems that power our streaming experiences. You'll play an instrumental role in ensuring that Paramount+ can be operated efficiently as we grow with millions of new subscribers in numerous countries around the world. You will act as a technical product owner for a scrum team with a primary focus on our video subscription, syndication and distribution systems, handling development for our content rules engine, and building feed integrations for new partners and platforms.

Day to day
• Collaborate with the Video Operations & Engineering teams to build knowledge of existing video-related systems and gain an understanding of needs from the larger team to translate them needs into projects and long-term roadmap
• Engage in scrum team activities (grooming, planning, standups, story writing, and prioritization)
• Provide clear vision to support technical development including but not limited to: scope documentation, use cases, workflows, sequence diagrams, and UML diagrams.
• Work across domains and external teams to ensure all requirements are gathered and documented in JIRA.
• Align various collaborators across product, technology & operations on delivery scope and in preparation for launches
• Work to meet agreed upon time frames and target dates with the scrum team and PMO partners
• Develop trust across teams and form relationships to ensure collaboration across groups; facilitate execution within a complex organizational environment
• Build a positive relationship with both Video Operations & Engineering; work together to determine solutions and ensure that the development team has all the information they need to efficiently implement initiatives
• Additional other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
• 4+ years in product management for software development, with demonstrated competence in prioritizing against business value and balancing trade-offs
• Demonstrated passion for building workflow tools and supporting internal teams
• Deep understanding of complex technical workflow systems and tools
• Ability to define, prioritize and complete a product backlog across multiple points of intake and support. Lead competing priorities across verticals

Preferred Skills
• Video supply chain, API or content feed experience
• Strong curiosity about and understanding of the streaming media landscape

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $130,000.00 - 160,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
