Role Details:

We are seeking a high-impact software architect to join our team. The successful candidate will embrace our design precepts and will be a collaborative teammate able to communicate their ideas with colleagues and management. In this role you will be responsible for creating high-level architectural specifications, crafting technical documentation, and addressing problems of systems integration and compatibility. You will perform research on the potential project feasibility to management. Serves as the top-level technical authority across multiple systems. Is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.

Your Day-to-Day:

Research, Design & Develop POCs to address problems between systems

Create Proposals for Engineering Teams to review

Key Projects:
• Writing documentation and analyzing existing systems that power P+ Backend Systems that power P+, P+ International and CBS.com
• Collaborate with multiple teams to help build seamless architecture across multiple platforms
• Design new solutions that optimize performance and solve business critical problems

Basic Qualifications:
• BS Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of programming or architect experience
• 7+ years of proven technical experience across related technologies (Java, Spring, MySQL)
• Proven success designing complex, critically important systems

Additional Qualifications:
• Proven success designing complex, critically important systems
• Experience designing Web Services
• Experience with Cloud Computing (GCP, AWS, etc)
• Knowledge of JSON, MRSS, XML, and REST
• Experience with Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Solr and Test-Driven Development
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Web development best practices
• Experience with Distributed Computing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $150,000.00 - 175,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
