Scope of Job: Are able to think creatively and ensure quality throughout the automation system? This role is for you! You will be working on video testing across multiple platforms and projects, including regression testing, smoke testing, and ad-hoc testing. This role requires facilitating and running automation processes including code quality and making technical decisions as well as mentoring the Quality Engineers. Knowledge in Live TV, Video on Demand (VOD), and/or cloud DVR video streaming workflows is a plus!

Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain automated tests across various components of the Video Platform
• Analyze and adjust automation architecture to make it scalable as more features are added across all supported types of platforms, deliver high-quality automation artifacts and follow the Standards and Best Practices in OOP Methodologies
• Represent the Video Scrum team, analyze, and understand application requirements, identify potential gaps, and deliver in-sprint automation goals
• Implement different levels and types of (video quality and playback testing) such as smoke, functional, compatibility and regression tests using automated scripts across RokuTV, iOS, Android, and OTT
• Maintain and report automation test metrics for projects including code and test case coverage, traceability, and KPI(s) to the Video Engineering Team
• Perform webcam video recording - test on capture (image processing and computational audio) - Headspin
• HDMI Video capture - run test on HDMI recording, Take screenshots and run tests using image processing

Qualifications:
• Expertise of at least 5+ years in advanced Java, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Cucumber, RESTAssured API Automation, CI using Git, Jenkins Pipeline, Docker, and/or similar tools
• Successful track record in video application and video playback testing on SmartTV, RokuTV, gaming consoles (PlayStation, Xbox), and Set Top Boxes
• Building UI Automation on various platforms like Web, Mobile, and OTT Devices and tools/utilities for use by other QA Automation Engineers
• Crafting API Automation using RESTAssured™, Postman, and/or Charles Proxy
• Knowledge of Caption formats, Video Containers/Codecs, Audio Codecs, layouts, media encoding/playback, headspin, stbtester, openCV
• Experience in video playback automation (witbe, ffmpeg, image processing) and/or computational audio is ideal
