Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from Paramount Global, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. The premium streaming service features an expansive library of original series, hit shows and popular movies across every genre from world-renowned brands and production studios, including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures and the Smithsonian Channel. Our product team is responsible for Paramount+ global digital subscription experiences across Web, App & TV. We represent internationally recognised brands that are distributed worldwide to fans of our shows, movies, sports, specials and live events. To ensure we're providing an amazing experience for our customers and meeting ambitious company goals, we closely collaborate with business, marketing, legal, development, quality assurance, & customer support teams across different international time-zones.
The Sr. Product of Content role will oversee scrum teams in an agile product development environment. With focus on specific sections of our Paramount+ global experience, you will be a direct conduit between the product organization and our scrum teams by converting requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for the developers.
OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with other Product Owners, Project/Scrum Management, Front-end Developers, Back-end Engineers/Architects & Quality Assurance teams by developing highly-technical user stories, requirements & acceptance criteria for new features, and work to refine.
Work with the Product and Development organizations solving tough issues that are presented through the development cycle.
Review deliverables from the developers and evaluate success based on product-specified acceptance criteria.
Ensure that technical documentation and implementation details are accurately communicated throughout the organization.
Support complex data/systems structures & software in a release-train model.
Manage, govern & support day-to-day configuration details around the operation of our products!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Powerful communicator & collaborator!
• Strategic thinker & problem solver.
• Deep analytical skill-set with ability to distill complex information into clear vision & action plans.
• Comfortable with context switching from backlog management vs. day-to-day scrum team oversight.
• Strong grasp of basic computer science principles & knowledge of modern development technologies.
• 3+ years working on consumer-facing, mass-distribution software products within an Agile workplace.
• Deep experience leading teams that are developing, launching and releasing websites & applications via a release train model (eg: Google, Amazon, Apple, Roku, HTML5 apps on SmartTVs / Game Consoles).
• Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems and supporting services to drive content in online media experiences.
• Shown understanding of UI/UX principles.
ADDITIONAL QAULIFICATIONS:
• Familiarity with consumer-facing video streaming experiences including media-centric information architecture.
• History working with International web & applications.
• Understanding of recommendation logic via machine learning.
• Experience Monitoring and Diagnostic tool sets - eg: JSON Lint, Charles Proxy, New Relic, Conviva.
• Experience with any of the following - JS, Python, MySql, Drupal, RESTful API's, Swift, Kotlin.
• Technical or Data Degree.
