Overview & Responsibilities:
Our social and native video teams are responsible for developing and producing compelling stories-as told through video, editorial, and social platforms. We promote programming from Paramount+ which includes movies, live sports, breaking news with a mountain of entertainment from the Paramount brands such as CBS, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, and Smithsonian! Our team optimizes the best of Paramount+ content to drive audience, engagement, retention, and revenue. We use data analytics, analyzing the competitive landscape while recognizing opportunities for innovation that are continually evolving!
Our team at Paramount+ is looking for a Social Media Manager to help shape and implement the social strategy for the Paramount+ brand channels that celebrate the depth and scope of content on the service. This role is pivotal in leading day-to-day planning, creative ideation, and working in close partnership with our strong portfolio of Paramount brands.

The ideal candidate has prior experience supervising direct reports, forging partnerships with colleagues across divisions, and is passionate about social media and the entertainment landscape. This position reports to the Social Strategy Lead, Brand Social.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Craft and carry out innovative, data-driven social content strategies across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Maintain a detailed and organized social publishing calendar
• Manage an ongoing pipeline of social content projects, collaborating closely with internal and external creative teams on the development of custom social assets
• Bring a creative mind to frequent brainstorming sessions to pitch new social content ideas and campaigns that you will lead from ideation to execution
• Regularly refine and optimize content and formats to iterate and use social insights and data
• Track against social team KPIs and goals to ensure the content produced helps to achieve growth and engagement goals, creating social recap reports and presenting key findings to executives and partners
• Collaborate with Paramount+ teams across video, design, marketing, and PR to develop innovative social creative and ensure the best standards are employed across all assets
• Partner with brand social teams across Paramount Global and represent the Paramount+ social team in frequent meetings and planning sessions
• Supervise social media coordinators and help develop training & growth plans to foster talent
• Study competitor strategies, industry trends, and new product features to ensure Paramount+ stays ahead of the curve

Basic Qualifications:
• BS/BA or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience producing custom social content and managing brand social accounts, preferably in entertainment
• Experience developing and creating visuals and videos optimized for sharing
• Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each
• Experience directly supervising social media professionals
• Willing to provide samples of prior work

Additional Qualifications:
• Passionate and knowledgeable about television and pop culture
• Ability to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the streaming landscape
• Previous entertainment experience preferred
• Previous agency experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Photoshop/basic design skills preferred
• Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video, with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution (working knowledge of Photoshop/Premiere)
• Willing to work evenings and/or weekends when necessary
• Strong attention to detail and a stickler for grammar and maintaining brand voice
• Great communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts and strategies, and speak to all levels of management
• Ability to work against tight timelines with flexibility and creative thinking to adjust strategies and content development when necessary
• Ability to mine and leverage social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends
• Collaborative thought-leader with a demonstrable commitment to fostering an inclusive and productive work environment
