Job Description
Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from Paramount Global, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. The premium streaming service features an expansive library of original series, hit shows and popular movies across every genre from world-renowned brands and production studios, including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures and the Smithsonian Channel. The service is also the streaming home to unmatched sports programming, including every CBS Sports event, from golf to football to basketball and more, plus exclusive streaming rights for major sports properties, including some of the world's biggest and most popular soccer leagues. Paramount+ also enables subscribers to stream local CBS stations live across the US in addition to the ability to stream Paramount Streaming's other live channels: CBSN for 24/7 news, CBS Sports HQ for sports news and analysis, and ET Live for entertainment coverage.

Paramount's Central Commerce team publishes newsy, fun, shoppable articles about consumer trends and products for CBSNews.com and other digital properties. Our writers have a strong track record crafting breezy, authoritative, profitable guides and lists about products and trends. The right candidate will have editorial experience writing for a mass audience, and be comfortable researching and recommending consumer products across many categories-home furnishings, appliances, video games, travel and tech. This is a full-time staff position, either remote or based in our Burbank office. The position is on a central team that provides editorial and creative services to Paramount Streaming websites, covering entertainment, news and sports, including CBS News, ETonline and Paramount+.

We're looking for writers who can easily speak to a general interest audience, who can make everyday things super interesting, who can find the most clickable item to include in any list. Comfort with analytics and SEO are key. Newsroom or daily publication experience is a must, as is an eye for story and a sensitivity to brand voice.

• Write and research product roundups, particularly about tech, video games, toys, gifts, family and home topics
• Build, maintain and update articles and affiliate links in CMS
• Meet the high editorial standards set by CBS News and our other partner sites
• Contribute fresh, timely ideas and be ready to act on those approved
• Hit tight deadlines
• Keep up with affiliate deals and optimize links in articles
• Optimize and update articles to take advantage of traffic, affiliate and SEO trends

• Experience writing with confidence on a variety of consumer products
• Rock-solid writing and editing skills (we need to see examples of work)
• Understanding of major social and digital platforms
• Experience sourcing photos for site / social / video use
• Experience working with, and optimizing to, different affiliate revenue sources
• A sense of humor
• Team-oriented attitude
• An eye for topics that other writers will miss
• A dedication to accuracy
• Firm grasp of journalistic ethics and impeccable news judgment
• Comfort with analytics platforms (Adobe, Chartbeat, etc.)
• Experience at a daily publication, using a CMS
• Experience writing ''best products'' lists and other shopping content
• Experience optimizing content for SEO
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Must successfully pass a background check
