Program Manager, Video Operations (VOD Services)
Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from Paramount Global, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. Role Details:
We are looking for a technical project manager for the PMO team. You are a solution provider, change-agent, expert of jugglers, and keeper of the agile process for your teams. With a passion for process, the candidate keeps their eyes on the delivery goal while coaching their teams and leading several distributed project teams from start to finish. This role is looking for a candidate who loves the Project Manager role working with technical backend teams, and can make things happen! The candidate knows what it takes to run complex projects involving multiple partners, bring needed process improvements, and support a diverse team of collaborators.
Your Day To Day:
• Manage multiple video operations team workflows, task tracking, and project timelines
• Create and run team ceremonies with the goal of increasing visibility, cross team communication, and risk mitigation
• Work closely with VOD publishing teams for on-going ingestion projects and improvements
• Act as a representative from the VOD services team to the program teams in support larger company initiatives
• Work with Product, Engineering and Operations partners to prioritize and coordinate development efforts to deliver on schedule
• Coach, facilitate and maintain consistentecy and beneficial Agile process methodologies for the teams, driving process and transparency
• Communicate with the business around teams velocity and projects health not just for your own teams but supporting the PMO in reporting on all team's status
• Prepare and manage project plans, documentation, risk mitigation and resource management as needed for cross-team initiatives and large projects/programs
• Be available as necessary to troubleshoot urgent issues and remove impediments for the team
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Qualifications:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
• Scrum Master certification with deep understanding all things Agile (Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies)
• Technical Project Management experience with VOD streaming technologies or publishing
• Experience with Content Management Systems, video operations, business to business products, backend development
• Expert Admin JIRA user
• 3-5 years multi-project management experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven, technical (SDLC) environment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to create good team habits
• Deep knowledge of agile and traditional frameworks
• Extensive experience road mapping, planning, gantt as well as fostering iterative processes and feedback turning points in the SDLC
• Proficiency in tools: Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, Slack
• A proactive, efficient, and resourceful communicator with the ability to thrive in a creative environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
You might also have –
• Basic proficiency with standard development software
• Experience working in Web, Platform, Operations teams in technologies such as Java, Databases, Python and others
• Backend Release Deployment/Management experience via Cloud Environment such as GCP or AWS
• Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub and Jenkins
