Product Manager (Remote)

CBS Media Ventures Digital is looking for a Product Manager who will drive the product priorities and roadmap that support our streaming businesses and .com portfolio. Looking for an experienced problem solver with the ability to lead discussions about design architecture, testing, and development of elegant solutions alongside teams of front- and back-end engineers, UX designers, and QA analysts. You discuss the performance of your product to stakeholders and internal teams so that everyone is working towards a common goal for our users.
Overview
• Manage various projects from inception through launch.
• Cross-Functional Team Relations: Collaborate with central business units, SEO, AdOps, VideoOps, Programmatic, and Business Intelligence.
• Scrum Team Relations: Work with a team of developers, designers, QA, and PMO to launch features.
• Product Planning: Ideate with teams to build the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for PI Planning.
• Requirements: Translate and define the vision into features, epics, and user stories that can be communicated to engineering, QA, and other cross-functional site collaborators.
• Sprint Planning: Prioritize product backlog and work closely with unique product owners to plan sprints for team success and deliveries that meet our goals.
• Partner with the engineering team to prioritize and resolve costly bugs and issues quickly and efficiently.
• Operate independently and as part of a broader team; balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Interpret usage data to identify successes and failures to develop practical solutions
• Keep partners up-to-date on product development through weekly meetings.
• Be an in-house expert on video experiences; stay up-to-date on the latest streaming trends.
• Additional other duties as assigned
Key Projects
• Works side-by-side with in-house engineers, design, and project teams in an agile development environment.
• Work with team contributors to turn the key to successful user acquisition.
• Seek opportunities to increase product engagement through thoughtful data, critical metrics and competitive analysis.
• Further, develop Inside Edition and other brands for stream distribution.
• Continuously test theories, iterate on testing, and socialize key findings from A/B testing and user testing.
• Collaborate with other product owners ensuring vital product and technology knowledge is shared across the team.
• Join important training sessions to develop further your skills and knowledge of new tools and products, which aid in meeting business goals.
Basic Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in product management and directly managing a scrum team.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and using Confluence, Jira.
• Experience in online, mobile, or OTT product management.
• Daily use of video streaming platforms and services.
• Hands-on experience working within SCRUM or other agile development methodologies.
• Extremely motivated and detailed individual energized by significant challenges and works well under pressure.
• Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and has excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• You are passionate about user experience and balance their needs with the needs of the business.
Additional Qualifications
• Experience developing feature wireframes/mocks with Miro, Sketch other tools.
• Proficient in G Suite and MS Office.
• Experience working with video streaming technologies, Drupal, CMS platforms, A/B testing tools, display and video ads, commerce, Freewheel, Omniture, and Tableau.
• You geek out and consume all things streaming technology, entertainment, and news.
• Bachelor's degree in business, technology, computer science, media, or relevant fields preferred.
