SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer who will help drive our Video Encoding system's evolution! The role is an integral part of the central Video Streaming & Operations team that will work with development engineers to build and release new products and maintain our existing video encoding solutions in the cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with the design and implementation of our Cloud infrastructure, including CI/CD, provisioning, sizing, and infrastructure as code
• Ensuring we have multi-region capabilities in GCP and AWS
• Enabling more of our Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) architecture initiatives
• Implementation of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning using such tools as Terraform
• Work with other engineers to update, maintain, and evolve our video encoding platform
• Investigate and resolve availability issues
• Work closely with QA to facilitate testing
• Collaborate with our development teams on re-architecture of existing systems into microservices
• Integrate monitoring and alerting into existing and new architecture

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code with cloud providers such as AWS/GCP using tools like Terraform, Puppet
• Experience in a programming language, such as Python, Ruby, Java, etc..
• Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GCP CloudBuild
• Experience containerizing and orchestrating applications using Docker/Kubernetes/ECS/EKS/GKE
• Familiar with Monitoring and Centralized logging solutions like CloudWatch, Prometheus, TIG stack, NewRelic
• Experienced with Linux systems
• Experience with shell scripting (Bash,zsh, etc..)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with video codecs: H264, HEVC, AV1, VP9
• Passion for automation
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres, RDS and CloudSQL
• Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS SQS, GCP Cloud Functions and GCP PubSub
