Job Description
Are you a detailed person who is searching for a job opportunity that blends teamwork and numbers? The Oklahoma City Thunder is looking for a motivated and upbeat accounts payable pro to join our accounting team! As a coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining a consistent and accurate flow of timely payments with consideration for the budget schedule, cash flow schedule, and fiscal year. Your strong critical thinking skills will reflect our dedication to making the Thunder an outstanding place to work.

In this role you will:
• Support the accounts payable lead and others in the department with regular accounts payable management as well as special projects and audit requests
• Prepare and process batches of invoices and expense reports by required deadline using Great Plains software
• Accurately maintain accounts payable files
• Assist team members from all departments with A/P-related forms and/or procedures
• Connect with vendors via phone, fax or email including statement reconciliation and new vendor setup
• Process and supervise daily A/P mail and correspondence
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and track catering invoices for each season
• Distribute monthly credit card statements to card holders for general ledger coding and receipts
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all information
• Assist with various audit requests

What you'll bring to the role:
• Two-year degree in Accounting, or equivalent work or military experience plus a minimum of one year working in accounts payable related field preferred
• Great Plains software experience a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Accurate, detail oriented, and ability to optimally prioritize tasks
• 10-key by touch
• Strong critical thinking skills allowing you to be a problem solver
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and phenomenal listening skills

Additional details:

Employees will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered. Work schedule will include Monday through Friday office hours. Primary work location will be Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. This is full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Assistant Controller.
