Title: Creative Director
Reporting to: Sr. Director, Marketing
Type: Exempt
Location: Oakland, CA

The Creative Director is responsible for designing all visual communication from concept through completion to support marketing and brand objectives for the Oakland Athletics. This position is responsible for reinforcing the organization's brand standards and maintaining a consistent and correct representation of the team's marks and logos while developing visual elements and artistic style.

We are seeking an individual who is a creative marketing force (design/copy and production background) to leverage marketing communications, storytelling, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
• Execute our content marketing strategy and deliver brand excellence and consistency through all marketing touchpoints
• Lead a team of designers, copywriters, producers, editors, and videographers delivering on creative needs for the organization
• Develop creative process from briefs, project tracking and archival
• Partner with the production team across design development and asset needs for digital, in-stadium video production and social media
• Collaborate with freelancers, creative agencies and corporate partners to fulfill business objectives and stay on-brand
• Create ways to increase fan engagement touch points while leveraging the Athletics brand
• Oversee and manage the marketing photography operation of the organization
• Manage a team of creative professionals and help foster an environment that inspires creative development

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Design, Communications, and/or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5+ years in a creative role with a focus on design and/or video production
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; expert-level experience in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Exceptional leadership and relationship skills with experience developing talent working with cross-functional teams
• Experience developing and leading fully integrated marketing campaigns
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple simultaneous projects
• Charismatic, high-impact presentation abilities, especially across cross-functional,

diverse stakeholders
• Experience working in a professional sports environment is strongly preferred.
• Must be flexible regarding work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
