Location: Remote, with a Hybrid option. Our office is based in Soho, London. All applicants must be in the UK.Reports to: Management Team
• Responsible for delivering final VFX work for high-end features and episodic
• Working to develop and interpret the client’s creative vision, providing creative solutions whilst keeping within budget
• Key point of contact for client(s), as well as the artist team
• Working with production to ensure work is delivered on budget and to deadline
• Able to provide on-set supervision when required, ensuring VFX shots are executed as needed
• Ensuring all correct on-set data has been acquired
• Communicating with external production companies (other VFX houses, DI facilities)
• Creatively guiding the team: communicating client feedback quickly and succinctly to artists, leads and other supervisors on the show
• Mentoring artists in the team, providing leadership and support to both the artists and leads
• Approving and checking all client deliveries and / or ensuring the relevant assigned individual has achieved the specified requirements
• Communicating show / facility technical issues to relevant departments and following-up for resolution
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all VFX department working practises, available tools and latest (internal) pipelines
Requirements:
• At least 6+ years of VFX post-production experience; credited for working on high-end projects
• Demonstrated leadership skills, confident with staff management duties
• Excellent problem-solving skills – both technically and creatively
• Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines, remaining calm and confident in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and strong organization skills
• Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback
• Expert in industry standard software packages including Nuke and Maya
• Thorough understanding of the full VFX pipeline including 3D, 2D and colour
• Creative eye and aesthetic judgment: composition, cinematic design and animation
• Understanding of directing, lighting, camera work, practical effects, art department, production design and editorial
• On-set supervision experience preferred
