Senior VFX Pipeline TD

Location: Remote, with a Hybrid option. Our office is based in Soho, London. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
Reports To: Head of Technology
NVIZ is looking for an experienced and talented Pipeline TD to join their core Technology team. As part of a fast paced and ever evolving VFX production pipeline, a Pipeline TD will be required to create, develop, document and maintain software tools, provide technical support to artists and supervisors, and ensure maximum efficiency in the use of proprietary and commercial softwares.
Main Responsibilities
Create, maintain and develop asset, shot and show management tools to meet production demands and ensure uninterrupted functioning of the pipeline
Integration of third-party and proprietary softwares with the production pipeline to enable efficient flow of data between a wide range of production disciplines
Provide front-line support across the pipeline by monitoring and fixing issues reported by artists, supervisors and production staff
Implement directives from HoDs and supervisors towards workflow development and achieving future pipeline related goals
Test, validate, document and update tools and techniques in production

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and/or Graphics (or equivalent industry experience)
Demonstrated experience in computer graphics related tool development
At least 5 years production experience in visual effects for film, commercials or television
Required Skills & Competencies
Advanced Python scripting knowledge
Experience in developing tools for DCC packages such as Maya, Houdini and Nuke
Experience with Maya/Nuke/Houdini/Hiero/Deadline APIs
Experience with source control systems
Must be detail oriented and self sufficient with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have a positive, motivated and collaborative attitude
Preferred Skills
Experience with production database systems
Experience with C, C++
Experience with development on multiple operating systems like Windows, MacOS and Linux
Experience with Shotgun or similar asset tracking system
Familiarity with common image formats and colour pipelines
