NPR's Salesforce CRM runs critical business processes from donor management to management of our nationwide network of 250+ Member organizations to powering digital experiences for millions of Americans. The Senior Salesforce Developer will work with product and technical teams to strategically design, update, build, and maintain our CRM including the design and development of customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations. As a technical team leader, the Senior Salesforce Developer will provide guidance to Salesforce resources throughout the organization. A successful candidate will be familiar with Agile methodologies and have demonstrated ability with automation, UI design, security (incl. SSO), testing, and integrations to drive platform optimization and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with cross-divisional teams to review, manage, and optimize platform automations, customizations, security, and integrations
• Partner with product and technical teams to evaluate, scope, design, prioritize, and complete new platform development requests in support of organizational strategic priorities
• Assess the impact of new requirements on the existing platform as well as all upstream and downstream applications, systems, integrations, and processes
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Salesforce customizations, applications, and integrations
• Design and develop intuitive UI
• Document solution designs
• Create testing and implementation plans, assist with creation of end-user training documentation
• Lead the building of redundancy of knowledge and skills within cross-divisional Salesforce product and technical teams
• Guide and mentor cross-divisional Salesforce team members
• Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion across all disciplines

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS
• Minimum four years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
• Demonstrated understanding of Salesforce platform, best practices, and functionality
• Demonstrated success in creating innovative, user-friendly Salesforce solutions
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps/release management
• Experience with connected apps in Salesforce
• Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL
• Experience with vscode (with Salesforce extensions) and the Salesforce CLI
• Experience with APIs and building integrations with Salesforce.com
• Platform App Builder and Platform Developer I Certifications

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack and nonprofit processes
• Experience with Git
• Experience with Salesforce Communities
• Experience with Salesforce Accounting Subledger a plus
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ a plus
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
