Overview and Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

Nickelodeon Animation Studio is looking for an animator for a CG production.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Work with the Animation Supervisor in the development of the animation style for new Nickelodeon CG shows.
• Animate character tests/scenes.
• Work with storyboards, story reels, recorded dialogue, set layout, and direction to animate key scenes in the early stages of episodic production.
• Help in the testing of the functionality of the character rigs.
• Generate character model sheets, cycles, and other pose reference for the storyboard artists.
• Provide technical support and assist with the creative direction of the overseas animators.
• Work with the R&D team to help create tools to streamline animation workflow for the internal /vendor studios.

Basic Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
• Degree or certificate in CG/classical animation, film, or related field, or 3-4 years of production animation experience.
• Strong understanding of traditional animation principles.
• Must have computer character animation experience in Maya.
• Must have a demo reel that demonstrates an application of the principles of animation, and exceptional performance and acting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
• Degree or certificate in CG/classical animation, film, or related field, or equivalent production animation experience.
