Job Description
Nexstar Inc. is searching for a Vice President/General Manager to lead its broadcasting, digital, and mobile operations at KLFY (CBS) in Lafayette, Louisiana, DMA #122.

KLFY- News 10 has a long history of serving Lafayette and the surrounding parishes. It's the oldest television station in the market serving ''Acadiana'' since June 3, 1955. The strength of this award-winning station lies in its long-standing connection to the community. While providing news, weather, and sports- the station also provides local and national advertisers with multiple platforms to grow their businesses. The station supports numerous local non-profits including FoodNet Food Bank of Lafayette and the Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana.

The station serves eight parishes including Lafayette, Acadia, St. Martin, Iberia, Vermilion, Evangeline, St. Landry, and Jeff Davis. The biggest employers in the market come from the health-care industry, the oil industry, and a large jewelry manufacturer. Health care employers include Lafayette General, Opelousas Health Systems and Our Lady of Lourdes. Among the largest oil industry employers are companies such as Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, and Halliburton. Stuller Inc is one of the largest jewelry manufacturers in the United States and employs more than 1,600 people. Lafayette, Louisiana is home to the Ragin' Cajuns – The University of Louisiana at Lafayette – which owns just over 1,300 acres of land in the area, has a student enrollment of over 19,000, and employs close to 1,900 people. Lafayette is an hour from Baton Rouge and just 2.5 hours to New Orleans.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a successful General Manager for a commercial broadcast station.
• Significant sales management experience in leading and driving revenue growth in broadcast and digital. Special emphasis on New Local Direct revenue growth, including self-created non-traditional revenue success and sports and community sponsorships.
• A proven track record providing professional, demonstrative leadership and the ability to in develop a leadership team and promote collaboration and teamwork among all station departments.
• The vision and ability to enact short-term and long-term plans for the development of the stations' digital and mobile platforms.
• Track record of success in maintaining a focus on the bottom line.
• Broad range of programming experience with an emphasis on localism is essential.
