Job Description

Assist the Creative Services Department in writing, producing, and editing the most creative and effective news teases, as well as assist in writing and booking segments for Living Dayton. Will also assist in community events and other events where WDTN-TV & Dayton's CW is a medial partner.

Typical Duties:
• Write, produce, edit, and help conceptualize news teases that help promote 2NEWS newscasts.
• Assist with writing scripts, and scheduling guests for Living Dayton.
• Fill in as producer of Living Dayton when Executive Producer of Living Dayton is unavilable.
• Assist with WDTN-TV and Dayton's CW station tent for community events, street team, and grass roots marketing opportunities.

Requirements & Skills:
• Minimum of two years experience in local news or promotion.
• Self-starter able to complete projects at a high quality level in a timely manner.
• Must be able to work on various projects simultaneously and to deliver finished projects on deadline.
• Must be computer literate, with experience in all computer file types.
• Must be able to edit on Adobe Premiere.
• Must have highly effective communication skills.
• Must be highly organized.
• Strong writing skills and creativity.
• Must be familiar with all television editing equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
