Job Description

The ideal candidate for this freelance position must have line producing experience (preferably with ENPS), video-editing experience (with Adobe Premiere a plus), and experience as a sports writer (TV, print, and/or web).

Candidate must be able to gather, write, edit and produce content from the field or inside the newsroom to be presented on multiple platforms including on-air and online. Candidate would also need to be proficient in enterprising sports stories, proficient in DEJERO technology, writing content and using production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories and produce well-paced segments under daily pressure. Must also be web savvy so as to enhance KTLA's website with fresh sports content to add to the viewing experience of the KTLA News Programs.

REQUIREMENTS: College degree or equivalent related experience. Prefer that an Individual have a minimum of three years experience in news, either in broadcast or print. Must have strong writing and organizational skills. as well as, the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus. Individual may also be required to cover sports/news stories in the field. Must be capable of interacting positively and productively with other employees. Weekend availability required.
