Job Description

Nexstar's powerful three-station group in beautiful Austin, Texas, (KXAN, KNVA, KBVO), has an immediate opening for an exceptionally organized, enthusiastic promotion coordinator to fill a critical support role in the company's creative services department. The ideal candidate will thrive in a creative atmosphere while also possessing excellent attention to detail skills. The person in this position will provide multi-platform marketing support for both news and sales promotion projects.

Primary duties Include:

Coordinate logistics and provide project follow-through for all station marketing initiatives

Help set up and represent station at station community events throughout the year

Schedule shoots; work with talent and producers on projects

Prioritize and schedule promotional announcements on daily inventory logs

Manage physical inventory of station ''swag''

Support existing relationships with KXAN partners such as Austin FC, CW Network, etc.

Assist Creative Services Director on multiple projects as assigned

Desired Qualifications

Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Exceptional ability to multi-task

Able to work well with various personality types

2+ years of work experience, preferably in media, sales or news environment

Social media experience and writing talent a plus
