Job Description

WGN America is looking for a full time Photographer/Editor to work on various News Nation broadcasts. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities:

The Photographer/Editor is responsible for the operation of ENG gear as well as editing equipment both in-house and in the field.

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in broadcasting/similar major or equivalent related experience is required. Must know spot news, but have an eye for creative storytelling, as well. Ability to maneuver and operate a live truck required. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs) and work various shifts. Valid driver's license required.

Good communication skills, sound editorial judgment and familiarity with Chicago city streets a plus. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus. Three to five years television news gathering, editing and field experience required. Must include a link to online reel with your resume!

This is an IBEW union position and membership in the union and ability to work all shifts is required.
