Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to become the 5th full-time member of our highly experienced weather team at a dominant station in the Upper Midwest. Ideal candidate must be a knowledgeable and effective communicator, both on-air and online.
On-air presentation must be clear and easy to understand, with an expectation of some weather and science-related reporting in addition to weather presentations on our daily newscasts. Experience with severe weather is desired, as we own and operate three Doppler radars. Normal work shift will be determined based upon the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate, though flexibility in scheduling will be necessary.

Knowledge and experience in operating a Baron weather graphics system is preferred, though not mandatory. Ability to maintain a South Dakota driver's license is required for storm chasing.

Requirements & Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate the day's weather story to viewers. Interested candidates need to submit a recent demo reel (link to streaming video), along with a resume which demonstrates qualifications for this job.
