Job Description

• Hire, train and develop audit personnel to ensure effective, quality execution of audit objectives
• Formulate, benchmark, and monitor achievement of the objectives, strategies, and goals of the audit department. Identify, organize and/or perform administrative functions required to efficiently & effectively assist in the running of the audit department
• Approach audits from a CEO and CFO perspective (e.g., keep a ''big picture'' perspective while focusing on details)
• Execute the audit plan by ensuring audits are properly scheduled, adequately staffed and systematically performed in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Incorporate special projects which improve internal controls
• Provide professional consulting assistance (e.g., due diligence, investigations, etc.)
• Oversee, review and approve planned audits to ensure professional standards are maintained, executed and documented. Post audit identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Develop, review, and audit procedures and plans to detect deficient business controls in operational and compliance areas in addition to accounting (human resources, legal, operations, etc.)
• Identify control weaknesses and determine their business impact and root cause(s)
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the Company's financial structure process, business controls and its financial materials in order to mitigate risk
• Develop trusted, collaborative relationships by applying experience and understanding of the business environment, organizational goals, the market, and the competition
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Computer Science preferred
• Minimum of five (5) years combined IT operational, IT audit and financial audit experience, preferably in the publishing, broadcasting or interactive industries
• Two (2) or more years of experience leading and developing people in a management role
• Previous experience within a major accounting firm preferred
• Strong managerial, financial and accounting skills
• Ability to recognize compliance/non-compliance with GAAP
• Extensive knowledge of control environments for accounting and business systems
• C.I.S.A. designation required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High degree of interpersonal skills is essential
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Must be a self-starter with proven leadership skills and ability
